This vintage textured ceramic lidded box combines sculptural presence with practical storage. Dating to the mid-20th century, it features a warm, earthy glaze over a richly textured surface, with geometric motifs and abstract relief patterns that vary across the sides. A subtle loop handle crowns the lid, while four short feet lift the form slightly and give it a balanced, architectural silhouette. The tactile detailing and restrained palette make it a versatile accent for a console, coffee table, bookshelf, or collected display.
Measuring 4.5 inches wide by 4.5 inches deep and 8.25 inches high, the box is compact yet visually distinctive. Its original finish shows an appealing age-appropriate patina, with minor surface wear and slight scuffing consistent with careful use over time. The ceramic remains structurally sound, with no visible chips or cracks. Markings on the base suggest an artist’s signature or maker’s mark, adding interest without assigning an unverified attribution. A characterful decorative object for interiors that favor texture, form, and vintage craftsmanship.
