We are selling this 19th Century Italian micro-mosaic house cross. This cross features four major architectural scenes including the Vatican and then smaller floral micromosaics with a central dove mosaic. The Christ figure appears to be silverplate and may have been added later over the micromosaic. The cross was most likely used as a house cross for display and worship in the home. Body of the cross appears to be nickel over brass.
