This Colonial style chest of drawers is made from a hard wood, possibly walnut. There isn't a trace of laminate in it. It was perfect for our guest room, and we didn't get many houseguests so it's only lightly used.
It's sturdy and doesn't wobble. There are no loose pieces and the hardware is intact and secure. The drawers slide easily and were lined when used.
