This exceptional piece, dating from the early 20th century, presents a sophisticated study in geometry and scale. Its generous dimensions classify it as large oversized, making it an ideal anchor for grand architectural spaces requiring both presence and historical depth.

The field is dominated by a meticulously rendered allover geometric design, featuring interlocking diamond motifs that create a mesmerizing sense of movement and texture. This disciplined repetition, typical of high-quality weaving from the period, ensures that the rug maintains visual interest without overwhelming the surrounding décor.

A restrained palette defines the aesthetic, centered on a deep indigo ground contrasted sharply with soft tan and muted gold highlights. The masterful use of this primary hue positions the carpet among the finest examples of blue color rugs, offering a calming yet authoritative presence that resists fading trends.

Hand-knotted from fine wool pile, the construction quality speaks to the enduring craftsmanship of the era. As a significant example within the broader category of antique rugs, this piece offers collectors a rare opportunity to acquire a textile that balances traditional structure with a timeless, modernist sensibility.
