Striking Carrol Boyes “At Ease” small canoe bowl, made in South Africa. This distinctive sculptural serving dish features an elongated oval canoe-form body supported at either end by stylized human figures—an iconic design element associated with Carrol Boyes.
Crafted of polished cast aluminum, the bowl features a beautifully textured interior contrasted against smooth, highly polished edges and sculptural figures. Both functional and decorative, it makes an excellent centerpiece, cocktail-table accent, serving dish, or collectible piece of South African design.
Especially desirable, this example retains its original Carrol Boyes box with factory label identifying it as “Canoe Bowl Small – At Ease” and Made in South Africa.
