The mirror can be moved forward or … Read more Gorgeous American Empire chest of drawers with mirror resting on turned column supports. The mirror can be moved forward or backward at different angles and secured by turning knobs on either side. The American Empire style and the large and slightly irregular dovetail joinery dates the piece to between 1860 and 1890.
The luminous mahogany finish is in excellent condition, save for a vertical crack at the base of the right side. All drawers open and close smoothly and the mirror adjusts as designed.
