The proportions read as almost architectural, more like a piece of built-in millwork than a table you'd expect to move, and the natural wax finish keeps the honey tone of the timber front and center rather than dressing it up. Reclaimed wood carries its own history, so expect a small chip along an edge or a hairline crack in the grain here and there; we leave those as found rather than sanding them away. It's built for the biggest gatherings a household hosts, twelve to fourteen people around it comfortably, holiday tables, milestone dinners, the whole extended family in one place.
