This dynamic composition features a commanding red-orange central form surrounded by gestural passages of deep blue-green, black, gray and warm ivory. Thickly applied paint, areas of pronounced impasto, spontaneous markings and layered surface textures give the work exceptional depth and movement.
The painting has a distinctly Abstract Expressionist and contemporary gestural character, balancing a dramatic saturated focal point against a more restrained neutral background.
