A striking vintage studio pottery vase featuring a beautifully layered glaze in saturated cobalt blue, teal and deep blue-green tones. The hand-thrown vessel has a softly rounded shoulder, gently flared rim and subtle variations in form that reflect its handmade character.
The expressive glaze moves organically across the surface, creating an abstract, painterly effect that changes as the vase is viewed from different angles. Signed with an incised potter’s mark on the underside; the artist has not been identified.
A handsome standalone accent for a console, bookshelf or collected tabletop, equally suited to organic modern, contemporary, coastal or eclectic interiors.
