I thought this rather tall figure was a piece of American folk art. I am now told that it's possibly African in origin. So I'm not completely sure either way. I thought the little cap that he is wearing suggested American, but again, I'm not sure. It seems from the age of the bottom to be most likely early to mid 20th century. See less
