A wonderfully sculptural Italian wall sconce composed of hand-formed gilt metal leaves arranged in the form of an open flower.
Broad, curling metal petals radiate outward from the center, creating an expressive three-dimensional silhouette. The original-style aged gilt surface enhances the relief of the metalwork and gives the fixture a warm, softly reflective quality when illuminated.
Characteristic of the exuberant decorative lighting produced in Italy during the mid-20th century, this sconce functions as both lighting and wall sculpture. Particularly striking in an entry, powder room, hallway or intimate seating area.
