Auguste Rodin (1840-1917) (after) Dante, the terror, 1897 Engraving Signed in the plate On vellum, 32 x 25 cm INFORMATION: This engraving is part of the "Goupil Collection." This collection was published in 1897 in a limited edition of 125 copies. It presents Rodin's most important preparatory drawings. Subsequently, the copper plates used for the printing were purchased by the City of Bordeaux and are now on display at the Goupil Museum in Bordeaux. Very good condition, paper slightly yellowed and minor handling marks in the margins This piece is attributed to the mentioned designer/maker. It has no attribution mark and no
official proof of authenticity,
however it is well documented in design history. I take full responsibility for any authenticity
