The boxes nest progressively in size, creating an attractive decorative grouping while retaining their individual utility as trinket, jewellery or small keepsake boxes.

Each piece is decorated with blue floral blossoms and green foliage against a yellow and gold scroll-pattern ground. Fine metal wire defines the individual enamel cells and creates an intricate repeating background, while geometric border treatments continue around the sides. The interiors and undersides of the lids are finished in a strong turquoise-blue enamel, providing a vivid contrast to the softer exterior palette.

The graduated proportions and consistent decorative treatment establish the three boxes as an intentional set. Minor surface pitting and irregularities are consistent with the enamel firing and finishing process, accompanied by light age-related oxidation and tarnish to exposed metal.
