An allover lattice … Read more This oversized vintage kilim, believed to date from the 1990s, is handwoven in a traditional flatweave construction. An allover lattice of stepped diamond motifs decorates a softly faded terracotta and blush field, framed by chocolate-brown floral and geometric borders with taupe-gray and cream accents.

Its impressive 8'2" × 15'1" proportions make it an excellent statement piece for a large living room, dining room, gallery, loft or hospitality interior. The low-profile wool weave works particularly well beneath furniture, while the long format can visually anchor an expansive room.

Tonal variation, subtle abrash and small weaving irregularities contribute to its authentic handmade character. This is a one-of-a-kind vintage textile believed to have been made in Afghanistan during the late 20th century.

Condition Details

Good vintage condition with age-appropriate surface wear, tonal variation and abrash throughout. Minor irregularities are visible along the edges and fringe. Scattered pink-toned areas are visible in the field; these should be identified as color variation or discoloration after physical inspection.
