Painted in the 1980s by Pittsburgh artist, Irene Everingham. This painting is not signed but I know she was the artist as I bought a large collection of her works after she passed away. Ms. Everingham showed and sold her artwork in several galleries across the country. She started her career as a fashion illustrator in Pittsburgh many years ago, before photos were taken of the models and artists dress or painted the pictures for magazines or papers. The seashell looks like it glows on the black background and is in a simple but very pretty gold leafed frame. The actual canvasboard is 8 x 10 inches but framed the art is 13.75 x 15.75. Very beautiful in it's simplicity, this would make a striking addition to any home of a seashell lover or a coastal home. See less
