Artisan-made in France, the chandelier has an impressive architectural presence and an uncommon lighting configuration that makes it as much a decorative sculpture as a functional ceiling light.
The bronze framework is richly modelled with scrolling ornamentation and classical details inspired by French Louis XVI and Rococo Revival design. Its silver-toned finish emphasizes the depth of the casting and gives the chandelier a sophisticated appearance that works beautifully in both traditional and eclectic interiors.
A particularly distinctive feature is the arrangement of five sculptural bronze deer heads around the outside of the chandelier. Suspended from the mouth of each deer is a decorative hanging light basket, creating five exterior lighting points and giving the chandelier its dramatic, highly recognizable silhouette.
In addition to these exterior lights, the centre of the chandelier contains six additional lighting points, creating a total of 11 lights. This combination provides generous illumination while emphasizing the sculptural bronze details when illuminated.
