We are selling this great Grand Tour oil lamp. This lamp has traditional neo-classical form with lucerna top, spiral shaft and tripod feet. In our opinion the oil lamp at the top appears to be 18/17th century, possibly Paduan, on a later spiral base and added elements to the base. The bronze tripod legs may also be older, with the twist base added in the 19th century for the Grand Tour trade.
Condition: Good condition. Appears to be a marriage with some possibly baroque 17/18th century elements.
