1930’s Duncan & Miller Glass Company Clear Pressed Glass Pedestal 3 3/4” Compote Bowl Hobnail Thousand Eye Pattern.
This Design Pattern features rows of raised, rounded "hobnail" bumps across the underface of the shallow flared bowl, narrowing down into a detailed, textured pedestal stem and a smooth, circular flat base.
Commonly utilized during the mid-20th century as an elegant tableware accent, serving as a candy dish, mint tray, small fruit bowl, or decorative centerpiece.
This Compote features manganese in the glass, causing it to glow a distinct green under ultraviolet (black) light as seen in photo #3.
The Compote is in Excellent preloved condition and measures 3 3/4” Tall x 4 3/4” Wide at the top and 3” Wide at the base. It weighs 8.22 ounces or 233 grams.
