The elongated pointed crown, elaborate court costume and devotional posture distinguish the figure iconographically from representations of the Buddha.

The figure is cast in copper alloy, traditionally described in the decorative arts market as bronze, with green and brown patination contrasting against surviving gold-coloured or gilt decoration. Its substantial 1.4 lb weight at just over seven inches high is consistent with solidly cast decorative metalwork rather than lightweight stamped metal or resin construction. The textured patinated surface and contrasting gold-toned details contribute to the characteristic appearance of mid-century Thai decorative bronzes.
