The bowl is hand-woven from ropes of white-glazed clay in an open lattice pattern, raised on a fluted pedestal base. Sculpted lemons and green leaves are permanently fixed in place, with realistic dimpled texture and glossy glaze.
A classic example of Italian trompe l'oeil ceramic work, in the manner of the Bassano region workshops, mid-to-late 20th century.
Condition: Very good vintage condition with a tiny chip off of the end of 1 leaf pictured. See less
