This piece was … Read more Presenting an exceptional, original double-sided gallery print by the acclaimed French Narrative Figuration artist Jacques Monory (1924–2018). This piece was published in Paris in 1979 by the legendary Galerie Maeght for "Derrière le Miroir" (Issue No. 227), a premier art publication that accompanied Monory’s highly regarded "Technicolor" exhibition.

The striking front side features the cinematic offset lithograph titled "Monet est mort" (Monet is dead). Rendered in Monory's signature hyper-saturated palette of electric blue and vibrant magenta, the piece serves as a striking commentary on the end of impressionist ideals in the modern media age. The surreal composition replaces romantic reflection with existential tension, confronting the viewer with themes of artificiality, media consumption, and suspense.

The reverse side of the page (marked page 16) features a monochromatic reproduction of another work from the exhibition cataloged as "n° 17".
