An exceptional piece of early 19th-century English pearlware, this antique deep blue transfer-printed covered sugar bowl was manufactured by William Adams & Sons of Staffordshire, England. Featuring an intricate, romantic figural landscape framed by scrolling grapevines and lush foliage, it showcases the high-contrast, rich cobalt ink typical of premium historical blue transferware produced for the post-Revolutionary American market.
The base bears the highly collectible early impressed circular stamp reading "Adams Warranted Staffordshire" surrounding a central American Eagle motif, dating its production between 1804 and 1840. Complete with its original domed lid, matching grapevine border, and an elegant floral finial, this set makes a striking statement piece for any traditional hutch, sideboard, or antique porcelain collection.
The sugar bowl measures 8 x 4 1/2 x 6 inches tall.

The original matching lid is intact with minor, expected roughness and microscopic fleabites along the interior rim flanges. Very light, age-appropriate glaze crazing and tiny firing iron spots as is characteristic of early pearlware pottery. Stable and displays beautifully. less
