The exceptionally decorative frame is detailed with wrapped joints and repeating diamond motifs along the apron. Tailored loose cushions are upholstered in a warm brown botanical print depicting palms, foliage, tropical fruits and specimen-style plant studies. Four coordinating botanical and striped throw pillows are included.

The open frame and latticework give this substantial 79-inch sofa a lighter visual profile than a conventional upholstered sofa, with a sophisticated tropical character that works beautifully in coastal, British Colonial, garden room and collected traditional interiors.

Tommy Bahama made many attractive pieces, but every so often I come across one that feels a little special. The soft sage green is a particularly good choice for the frame, and to me this is an exceptional Tommy Bahama piece—one that captures the relaxed, layered Island Estate aesthetic without feeling overly tropical or themed. It has enough character to anchor a room, yet the open frame keeps it from feeling heavy. I would happily use it well beyond a coastal setting; I can see it in a garden room, a traditional living room, or mixed into an English-inspired interior where that wonderful green would be especially appealing.
