Offered is a 1st edition art book, "Henri Matisse: Figure Colour Space", by Armin Zweite and Pia Müller-Tamm - a companion book to Matisse exhibits shown at the Kunstsammlung Nordrhein-Westfalen from October 2005 - February 2006, and at the Fondation Beyeler, Basel, between March - July 2006. The exhibit included some of his early paintings alongside works from both his Fauve period [1905-07], associated with the use of bright colors and energetic brushwork to structure the composition, and his Nice period [1917-30], when his principal motif was the female figure, or odalisque, dressed in oriental costume or in various stages of undress, standing, seated, or reclining. Whilst the focus of the exhibit was primarily on paintings, his bronze sculptures, drawings, prints, paper cut-outs and photographs of the artist and his models were included.
