Part of the classic mid-20th century American “hostess ware” tradition, this painted metal tray was made for cocktails, bridge nights, and easy entertaining. The floral-on-black decoration, reticulated rim and rectangular form align with pieces in the Nashco / Pilgrim Art ecosystem, but your remaining New York paper label is too fragmentary to confirm a specific maker.
