This oversized decorative brass wall charger features the Chinese Fu good-fortune character surrounded by detailed animal, bird, floral and geometric designs. The pictorial composition includes spotted deer, a peacock-like bird with decorative tail feathers and additional long-beaked and ornamental birds among flowering branches and foliage.

The brass has developed a dramatic dark copper-brown patina with muted bronze, reddish-brown and aged gold tones. Its naturally timeworn surface gives the piece strong visual character for Chinoiserie, grandmillennial, maximalist, global traditional and collected interiors. At approximately 24 inches in diameter, this large round wall hanging has the scale to create a focal point above a console, fireplace, buffet, sideboard or bar cabinet. An attached hanger on the reverse allows it to function as Chinese wall art, a decorative brass wall charger or an oversized statement wall plaque.

Good structural vintage condition with no broken areas observed and the attached rear hanger intact. The surface has a heavy naturally darkened patina with widespread tarnish, orange and copper-colored spotting, oxidation, scratches, scuffs, finish variation and small areas of green verdigris. Wear and oxidation are visible across the front, scalloped border and reverse. Minor wear and scratches are a normal part of vintage items unless stated differently.

The central Chinese character Fu is associated with good fortune, happiness and blessings. Yes, the reverse has an attached triangular hanger, allowing the tray to be displayed as a large brass wall charger, round Chinese wall plaque or statement wall decoration. Pair this large Chinese Fu brass wall tray with dark wood furniture, blue-and-white porcelain, lacquered accents, antique books, richly colored textiles and other aged metals for a layered Chinoiserie or global traditional interior.
