A fine 19th century Biedermeier commode from Austria made with beautifully patterned book matched veneer of walnut over pine. Three dovetailed drawers with flower form brass escutcheons and ring pulls. Front corners and top with beveled edge. Block feet angled in front to match the corners. Good proportions and solid sculptural form. Excellent craftsmanship with dovetailed construction. Finish retains a nice sheen. Working locks and one key with tassel. Brass hardware is not original, but is as found. Circa 1860-1880
