This rare and glorious piece is constructed of metal and is in … Read more A never before seen fairground/carnival mechanical shooting target. This rare and glorious piece is constructed of metal and is in the shape of a bunny. The aim is to shoot through the red hole in the bunny's tummy and hit the yellow target behind it. If you succeed the yellow target would move back and then you would pull on the front ring to pull it back. The piece would have been bolted down and the attendant would have done this on your behalf.

The joyful and inviting bunny is in its original white and red paint, and from the looks of it it's seen much action in its lifetime. The base is painted green; and did you see the red nose!

If you're a serious target collector this is one for the books. And speaking of books, we did consult the Step Right Up book and it's not found in there. So we're not sure if one of the major companies, like Mangels, Parker, Wurfflein, or Dickman did this, or someone else like Evans, Hoffmann, or Smith of Chicago, did. These pieces are still being discovered and studied, believe it or not.
