From "The Natural History of English Insects" published in 1766 with colored plates by
Moses Harris, an English entomologist and artist. Harris did his drawings from life
which was unusual. From the drawings copperplate engravings were made and hand colored.
Each plate depicts the lifecycle and favorite plants of several species of butterflies and moths.
An historical as well as decorative addition to a room or hallway.
