A handmade, hardwood chess/checkerboard re-imagined as a display base/tray for new, old stock carved marble stemware. This set of six pieces is absolute elegance. Whether they are used for wine, mixed drinks, parfaits, mousse, pudding, or an infinite number of options, they will elevate whatever is being served with their materiality and chic, understated feel.
This set of six goblets and display board could also be used for jewelry display in a boutique. We envision the glasses filled with dry rice or beans and then displayed with a ring, necklace or earrings on top. The board could be another layer for display.
The cups are each made from a single piece of stone and do not have any joining at all; they are each carved in an exquisite manner.
