An antique hand-painted porcelain punch bowl by Jean Pouyat of Limoges, France, still paired with its original ceramic stand — a matched set that has stayed together for well over a century, which is not a given with pieces of this kind, since bowls and stands are often separated over the decades. Sourced from an old family estate house sale in Easthampton, NY.

The bowl carries a celadon ground with hand-painted florals and stylized golden plums, finished with a gilt rim, and is marked underglaze in green "J.P. France Limoges." The stand shares the same bold green glaze with a transitional Art Nouveau–to–Art Deco sensibility, raised on four stylized Foo dog paw feet.

Diameter is 13 inches; total height on the stand is 9 inches.

Condition: The bowl has no cracks or hairlines; the hand-painted decoration and gilding show only light wear consistent with a century of careful use. The stand has minor glaze imperfections and small kiln flaws typical of period hand-crafted production — these are artifacts of the making process, not damage — and it is structurally sound.
