Fabulous pair of Split Rattan Fan Back Chairs with ottoman attributed to Ficks Reed. Freshly lacquered in white and Upholstered in new Chevron outdoor material. Leather wrapped corners on the ottoman. Originally made in the 1970s. These amazing and large scale rattan chairs make an impactful statement with their sweeping back profile- perfect addition indoors or outside. the seat of the chair is very well proportioned and the addition of the ottoman makes lounging both stylish and comfortable.
While these chairs fit the dimensions of original Ficks Reed Chairs, there is no existing makers mark so they are listed as Attributed to Ficks Reed. Like many high-end split rattan pieces from this era that underwent professional lacquering or upholstery updates over the decades, the original paper/cloth manufacturer tags are no longer present on the underside frame. Even the metal tags are removed at times. They are attributed by their unmistakable structural construction and premium craftsmanship.
