This vintage lacquered clam shell box brings bold color and organic shape to any vignette. Crafted from bamboo with a vibrant oil paint finish, the exterior shows a rich patina in amber, red, and black tones that plays beautifully against its curved silhouette. Lift the lid to find a glossy red lacquer interior, a nod to traditional Asian lacquerwork that contrasts strikingly with the more weathered exterior finish.
Measuring 8.25"W x 3.25"H x 8"D, this piece is equally at home holding jewelry, keys, or small collectibles, or simply displayed as a standalone decorative object. The bamboo structure remains fully intact with no repairs or structural damage, and the exterior's minor surface scuffs read as authentic patina rather than flaws. A striking, conversation-starting find for lovers of mid-century Asian-inspired design.
