This is one painting from a series inspired by a client commission. The client had requested a connection to nature, bees, beauty and renaissance portraiture. There is a reference to "The House of Barberini," a family of the Italian nobility that rose to prominence in the 17th century Rome.

All organic motifs and symbols are for the delight and interpretation of the viewer. This portrait is created with several layers of brush strokes. Confident brush work showcases a level of excellence, skill and an emotional connection to this scene.
