Design Plus Gallery presents a Vintage Empire Style Wood Rocking Armchair. The sculptural wood frame displays sweeping arms, curled hand rests, a rounded crest rail, vertical back slats, carved front feet, and curved runners. Yellow botanical upholstery accented by green and muted rose tones covers the padded seat and suspended back cushion. The chair’s dramatic curves and classical detailing reflect the decorative vocabulary associated with the Empire style. It is in good vintage condition; visible wear from age and usage includes scratches, scuffs, chipped areas, and losses to the front ends of the rockers.
