This striking bench embodies the refined neoclassicism for which Maison Jansen became internationally renowned during the mid-20th century. The construction, restrained Louis XVI-inspired frame, and sophisticated juxtaposition of carved wood with exotic upholstery are all highly consistent with Maison Jansen's work of the late 1960s and 1970s. The frame is elegantly proportioned with tapering, fluted legs terminating in turned feet.
