A French abstract limestone table lamp by Albert Tormus, dating to the 1960s. The base is carved from pale limestone, its organic, asymmetrical form punctuated by a central void that lends a sense of movement. The softly textured surface and flowing contours reflect Tormus’s modernist sensibility, blurring the line between functional object and small-scale sculpture.
Paired with a canary yellow shade, the lamp casts a warm, gently diffused light that brings out the subtle grain and tonal variation of the stone.
Condition: This lamp remains in very good vintage condition. The stone base shows light surface wear and natural variation consistent with age and material, contributing to its sculptural character. The fixture has been professionally rewired by our restoration team with a new switch and plug. Accepts one E26 base light bulb.
