The palette has mellowed to the faded, collected tones designers chase. Early 20th century.

Colors have softened to coral and madder, charcoal-grey, burgundy, pistachio green, gold, ivory, and faded indigo. The large gallery format anchors a living room, dining room, library, or long entry, and layers beautifully into bohemian, eclectic, faded-antique, and collected-traditional interiors.

All-wool Soumak flatweave with the loose weft-tails on the reverse that are original to the technique. Good antique condition, honestly noted: soft even wear, gentle fading, and frayed original wool fringe consistent with a century of use. Measures 11'3" x 6'3" (135 in. x 75 in.). See less
