Decorative round bowl with a softly organic form and incised surface, hand-painted in geometric segments of pastel yellow, pink, and turquoise on a brown background. A fine example of Mari Simmulson’s modernist style, combining colour, texture, and form in perfect balance. Origin: Sweden. Designer: Mari Simmulson. Material: Ceramic. Dimensions: H. 4 cm, D. 20 cm. Period: 1950/60s. Condition: Excellent condition, minor signs of wear. Mari Simmulson (1911–2000) was a Swedish ceramic artist who worked for Gustavsberg and later for Upsala Ekeby (1949–1972).
