The top rail is beautifully scalloped with a crest in the center and straight lines with two little points on each side of it before it dips and rounds over at each end. A wide central splat has its mirror image in the two back stiles and with the bottom rail frames two Dutch-style openings with flat panels applied from behind. A deep seat is supported by a straight front rail and four integral boldly scrolled arms framing five spindles on each side an shapelyd cabriole legs with hoof feet. The wood is hand-polished to a warm honey glow and has a pleasing grain pattern with only small knots. See less
