Description
A glamorous vintage Mastercraft lighted bookcase / display vitrine, featuring the bold brass-clad look for which Mastercraft of Grand Rapids is so highly collected. This tall display cabinet has a warm burnished brass exterior, full glass front doors, glass side visibility, interior glass shelving, a mirrored back panel, and integrated overhead lighting that beautifully illuminates books, barware, objets d’art, or collectibles.
The cabinet’s clean architectural form, polished metal finish, and illuminated glass interior make it a striking example of 1970s Hollywood Regency / Mid-Century Modern luxury design. The brass finish has developed a handsome vintage patina, giving the piece depth and character while retaining its dramatic reflective presence.
Mastercraft was a Grand Rapids, Michigan furniture maker founded by brothers Charles and William Doezema, known for high-style case pieces combining modern forms with exotic veneers, brass detailing, glass, and luxe finishes. The company was later acquired by Baker Furniture in 1974, and vintage Mastercraft case pieces remain desirable among collectors and designers. Constructed with a wood case clad in brass/brass-finished metal, glass front doors, glass display shelves, mirrored rear panel, brass-toned round pulls, and built-in upper lights.
