ery nice "Toronto Stock Exchange" print by General Idea.
This piece is framed and matted and will take a footprint of roughly 40.25" X 20.25" tall on your wall.
Overall great shape with maybe the slightest possibility for very minor wear to be found.
In the early 1980's General Idea was commissioned by the Toronto Stock Exchange to install a work/mural. This poster print, which was in an unnumbered edition of 1,000, uses an element of the preparatory sketch of that work entitled "Study for Ursa Major and Taurus: Pavillion Fragments From the Starry Vault" 1983. While its hard to depict in the photos, the poster has a gorgeous gold ink/foil.
General Idea formed in 1967 and over the next four decades made a significant contribution in defining postmodern art. Two of the members, Felix Partz and Jorge Zontal died of AIDS in 1994. Its surviving member, AA Bronson, continues to practice as an independent artist and oversees the representation and exhibition of General Idea’s work internationally.
