France was in conflict with both Spain and Great Britain and asking American President Washington for assistance. America stayed neutral. The tray is a reproduction of a painting of this regiment and the names of each foot soldier plus other French writings are also on the tray. Great piece to hang on a wall as decor or display on a tabletop easel.
