This sink is in very good overall condition for the age, and it looks nice from all angles. There is relatively little wear and corrosion, and the porcelain has a glossy finish. Top to bottom details: The top of the backsplash is fine overall, save for a shallow chip on the right side, and it is lacking the multiple small chips along the back edge that oftentimes can be found. The vertical surface is excellent overall. There were no scratches or wear found to point out. This sink has not been used for decades; thus, the faucet has not been recently tested with water. The knob turns up and down, but does not stop at the bottom. The chrome is in relatively good shape, and the porcelain cap is good. The chrome cap covering the left hole, drain plug post, chain and plug are all in good condition. The surface where these parts reside and running around the basin is very good with only a couple small blemishes, and the "soap dish" indent has not deteriorated from the lye in the soap as is often found. The interior of the basin from the top edge to the drain is very nice. There are no chips, and little wear is present. The water overflow grate is in better shape than many we come across with only a hint of rust. The entire outside surface of the sink looks excellent. There is no damage or wear and it has a glossy finish. The underside retains the paint that was there when we acquired this piece (and not repainted) to show that there is little corrosion present, some at the drain area, and light rust along the outer edge - otherwise it is fine.
