The device on the nickel-plated shaft easily slides up and down, so you can position the shade anywhere you like.
White glass casing on a blown green glass shade of exceptional quality. Rich bronze patina on the brass base. Felt underneath the base insures no scratching on your table or desk.
Original French socket to hold the shade. An American candelabra base socket has been installed, with new wiring with its French in-line switch. Maximum wattage: 60 watts.
Excellent condition overall, with very minor disruption to the nickel plating on the shaft.
A very small dent or wrinkle at the top of the base where it connects with what's above it. An iron weight under the brass base cover guarantees stability.
Top quality materials and design, in the French manner. The age of this? I'd say "vintage" but probably not antique.
Measurements: about 18 3/4 high, with a 5 1/2 inch diameter to the base. The shade measures about 4 7/8 across the opening.
