Charming 1987 Imperial Puppy of Satsuma porcelain figurine designed by Yuki Morioka for the Franklin Mint. Hand-painted in Japan, this delightful puppy rests playfully with one paw atop a blue ball decorated with gilt motifs. The white porcelain body is adorned with richly colored chrysanthemums, butterflies, scrolling vines, and traditional Satsuma-inspired decoration accented with 24-karat gold details. An eye-catching decorative accent for a bookshelf, coffee table, nursery, or chinoiserie display. The expressive face and vibrant hand-painted details make it equally appealing to collectors of Franklin Mint porcelain, Japanese ceramics, and dog figurines. Original Franklin Mint and Made in Japan labels remain intact on the underside.
Will be carefully DOUBLE BOXED with plenty of materials to help ensure its safe arrival at its new home. Please message me if you have any questions.
