Vintage safari animal wastebasket by The Essex Collection, crafted from solid wood with a black-painted finish and decorated with colorful wildlife appliqué motifs on all four sides. Lions, giraffes, zebras, elephants, rhinoceroses, tigers, antelope, camels, kangaroos, and other exotic animals create a whimsical menagerie against the dramatic black ground.
The tapered form and richly detailed animal imagery evoke the safari-chic aesthetic associated with Ralph Lauren Home, British Colonial interiors, and luxury game lodges. Decorative from every angle, it functions equally well as a wastebasket, umbrella stand, planter cachepot, or storage vessel.
