Authentic late-Victorian English, high-quality ceramic floral transferware bowl with deep cobalt blue on a white background manufactured by W.T. Copeland in 1884. This piece of tableware features gently rounded corners and a scalloped shaped rim. Marked on underside impressed code reading U over 84 (manufacturer date stamp) COPELAND arched over a crown, dating this bowl to have been manufactured by W.T. Copeland in November 1884. Also on the underside is a small, aged paper label "Denton".
This bowl would be great serving vegetables, fruit, or salads in.
