Dating to the 19th century, Continental Europe, most likely Italy, almost certainly commissioned by the Catholic church, featuring an ornate heavily gilded wood sunburst / starburst, with warm rich intricately arranged projecting gold rays framing a central putto mask figure carving in gesso and polychrome paint decoration, mounted over giltwood wings.
