Compact in scale yet full of character, it offers the timeless appeal of Chinoiserie design while providing practical storage for modern living.

What I love most is the dimensional quality of the decoration. The front doors feature applied carved stone figures, likely jade or a similar semi-translucent stone, adding depth and artistry to the hand-decorated landscape motif. Traditional pavilions, bridges, trees, and mountains unfold across the surface, creating the feeling of a miniature landscape painting enriched by sculptural details.

The cabinet is beautifully detailed on the front, top, and sides, with decorative motifs extending beyond the door panels to create a cohesive presentation. Warm brass hardware and brass-capped feet provide an elegant contrast to the glossy black lacquer finish, while the interior offers convenient storage with an upper drawer and cabinet compartment below. The back is unfinished, as intended, making the piece best suited for placement against a wall.

Sized perfectly for use as a nightstand, the cabinet also works beautifully as an accent cabinet, entry piece, or compact bar cabinet. Its versatile proportions allow it to fit comfortably in a variety of spaces while making a memorable decorative statement. See less
